Today at the midway point in the Jermuk Women’s Grand Prix, spectators were treated to a bit of a sensation: All six players with white dealt a loss to their opponents, as the value of the first move has never been more evident.  The round 6 results: Mkrtchian Lilit - Chiburdanidze Maia 1-0; Dzagnidze Nana - Kosintseva Tatiana 1-0; Shen Yang - Fierro Baquero Martha 1-0; Xu Yuhua - Kovanova Baira 1-0; Hou Yifan - Cramling Pia 1-0; Stefanova Antoaneta - Danielian Elina 1-0.  The shining star of Jermuk so far is Dzagnidze who continues to look unstoppable, having scored 5.5 out of 6 possible points.  A full point behind and alone in second place is one of the two local favorites, Mkrtchian, while Kosintseva is just half a point back at 4.  Rounding out the table is Yang and Yifan with 3.5, Stefanova, Danielian, and Yuhua with 3, Chiburdanidze with 2.5, Cramling with 2, Kovanova at 1.5, and Fierro who is stuck on zero points. more
